BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- The popular campaign against the wall and settlements organized a peaceful demonstration in Al-Walaja village west of Bethlehem on Friday, activists said.

Israeli forces attacked the demonstrators and detained four Palestinians.

The popular campaign’s coordinator, Mazen Al-Azza, said soldier and settler attacks amounted to "terrorism, which includes confiscating and bulldozing lands in addition to uprooting trees."

Israeli forces fired tear gas grenades and detained four participants. They were identified as Hamza Sarasra, Muhammad Al-Jawarish, Imad Muhammad, and Hussam Odeh.

The detainees were taken to Israel's checkpoint 300 north of Bethlehem.
