RAMALLAH, December 25, 2011 (WAFA) - The freedom and political prisoners committee resulting from the reconciliation talks will convene on Monday to discuss release of prisoners held in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and freedom of the press and expression, Sunday said the head of Fatah delegation to the talks, Azzam al-Ahmad.
The committee will also discuss the issue of Fatah members who left the Gaza Strip following the division, as well as issuing passports for Gaza residents who have not received them. and re-opening closed institutions in the West Bank and Gaza.
Ahmad said that even though the factions have agreed that a new government will be in place by the end of next month, who will run it will be decided on after January 26.
Meanwhile, officials said that another committee from the reconciliation talks, the social reconciliation, which was supposed to meet on Sunday has been postponed until January 4 due to technical reasons.Palestine News & Info Agency - WAFA
