RAMALLAH, January 19, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces, Thursday evening, arrested Palestinian Legislative Council member , Aziz Dweik, one of Hamas' leaders, 65, at a military checkpoint near the West Bank city of Ramallah, according to security sources.
They said that forces arrested Dweik at Jaba checkpoint, near Ramallah, while on his way home to the northern West Bank city of Hebron, where they handcuffed him, blindfolded his eyes and held him in the freezing cold for more than two hours before arresting him and leading him to an unknown destination.
The Palestinian Prisoner Club (PPC), in a statement issued Thursday, held the Israeli authorities fully responsible for the life of Dweik.Palestine News & Info Agency - WAFA
