Palestinian medical sources reported Monday that dozens of Palestinians were wounded in towns and villages, near the northern West Bank city of Jenin, during clashes with Israeli soldiers who invaded the area.

The sources stated that dozens of residents were treated for the effects of teargas inhalation after the soldiers invaded Ya’bod village, south-west of Jenin, and fired gas bombs at local youths who hurled stones and empty bottles at the invading forces.
The Maan News Agency reported that dozens of soldiers invaded the town and conducted provocative actions against the residents leading to the clashes. Soldiers then fired several concussion grenades and gas bombs.
Troops also installed a roadblock near the Ya’bod High School for Girls, inspected dozens of vehicles while checking the ID cards of the residents, and detained a number of youths for several hours.
Also on Monday, soldiers kidnapped one Palestinian in Qabatia town, east of Jenin, after invading it.
The army fired gas bombs, rounds of live ammunition at concussion grenades at local youths who hurled stones at the invading forces.
Clashes were also reported in Zabbouba village, west of Jenin, after at least eight armored jeeps invaded it and provoked the residents, local sources reported.
The army also fired gas bombs and concussion grenades leading to several injuries; soldiers also violently attacked a number of pedestrians.
This is the fourth day in a row in which the army invades different areas in the Jenin district.
