Palestinian prisoners'' conditions in Israeli jails worsen

GAZA, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- Prisoners of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in Israeli jails warned against the condition of all Palestinian prisoners, saying they "have reach an explosive state and escalation." The PFLP prisoners, in a statement smuggled out of one of the Israeli prisons and made public by Palestinian media Monday, said humane conditions inside the jails were "deteriorating amidst unprecedented campaign by the Israeli prison authorities to carry out revenge acts against them." They warned against further deterioration of their conditions inside the jails.
They said they would carry out an open-ended hunger strike in near future if conditions continue to worsen.
Israel locks around 4,500 male and female Palestinian prisoners in some 20 detention facilities.
