JERUSALEM, January 1, 2012 (WAFA) – Clashes broke out Sunday between Israeli police and Palestinian youth in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Ras al-Amoud, according to local sources.
Witnesses said clashes broke out when an Israeli border guard patrol stopped to harass a group of Palestinian youth and attempted to arrest one minor.
The youth threw stones and empty bottles at the patrol, which fired back tear gas and sound grenades at the youth and chased them in the area streets.
